L'Occitane @ Gurney Paragon Now Open and the new Immortelle Divine Anti-Aging Range! :D

I was very kindly invited to the official media launch of L'Occitane's new greenhouse concept outlet in Gurney Paragon last Friday! :) Staying true to their earth-friendly concept and commitment to ecodesign, this new store focuses on reducing the use of energy and water, as well as using only recycled furniture, FSC-certified wood and silicone-free paint to reduce the impact to environment wherever possible. I have to say that I'm quite impressed with their efforts to preserve our earth! :)

Introducing the new Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+! :D

A little over a month ago, I was invited to the secret preview event of the newly reformulated Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ from Clinique (Shall refer to it as the DDML+ from here on! :D) at the elegant Macalister Mansion in town. It was my first ever experience with this brand and product so I was mighty curious to find out more about! I knew that the old DDML was popular (this was confirmed when I attended the event - I learnt that a bottle was sold just under every 5 seconds! Wow!), but I'm surprised at just HOW popular it is! :D

Do you know that with the amount of DDML sold in the past 10 years, you can:
  • Scale the Tokyo Skytree 119,635 times
  • Wrap the globe 2.08 times
  • Fill the Big Ben 1.77 times
  • Run along the Great Wall of China 8.57 times
  • Fill the Eiffel Tower 8.1 times

We all know that if something ain't broken, why change it right? Just how is the DDML+, well, dramatically different from its predecessor? Read on to find out!

Hello! :D

p.s: image heavy post!

First of all, would like to wish my Buddhist readers a very happy Wesak Day! For the rest of us who're off work, happy holiday! :D

Ok, so i took a little more than two weeks' worth of break. Whew!! Did two FOUR months just whizzed by since my last post?! So sorry!! I have no excuse for not blogging other than sheer laziness (sure, I have work and blogger's block to blame in between, trust me, this post has been in the making for months!!) - but, if other amazing bloggers like my darling Nikki can blog so often whilst juggling a full time job and have a baby, then I must be really lazy! :P

So, what have I been up to since my last post? Read on to find out.

#011 - Crustacean Heaven

Project Smile365 is something I've started to document the little things that made me smile for the day. As I grow older younger, I seem to have developed a masochistic liking to recall the bitter and unhappy things ever so often and harp on them for hours instead of seizing the day and treasuring every single good memory that life has to offer. This is a platform for me to record at least one thing that made me smile for the day. I can't promise to post every day (I do have quite a boring life - I don't think anybody would care to read "Oh look, I poured myself a HUGE glass of ice cold coca cola WHOOTS!" anymore after the 235th time I posted it), but I do hope that at the end of 2013, I will have hundreds of smiles recorded for future reference!

You're most welcome to join me either by posting what made you smile today in the comments below or starting your own Project and sending me the link which I'll include in the daily post! Keep smiling everyone and spread the happiness! :D

Products that healed my skin

I know I've been ranting alot about my skin for the past year, but I can honestly say that my skin has never been shittier. I'm not blowing my own trumpet but I have always had clear, good skin prior to this (thanks, Dad and Mum!) but the stress of academia really took a toll on my face. That, coupled with using a wrong product (thanks, Mac Lightful Marine-Bright Formula Moisture Creme! Grrrr), wrecked havoc on my skin like never before.

Pictures to prove my point:

My skin was dull, sallow, dehydrated yet oily at the surface, and full of clogs and zits. See how dark my freckles have gotten too! Gimme back my crystal clear skin!!! *sobs pitifully*

That sent me into a frantic mode trying to heal my skin. Read on to see which products did the trick! :D

Introducing Project Smile365 - #001 - SMS from Dad

I was doing quite abit of soul searching in the past few weeks. With the close of the year and the start of a brand new one, I can't help but to wonder if anything could be done differently this year. 2012 was a year with plenty of ups, but there were moments that I thought I had hit rock bottom too. One of the things that stuck me was how little memories I have of the wonderful moments I've had family and friends. Perhaps I have become exceedingly cynical and critical of things and people in general that all I do is to question people's motives and stop allowing myself to be genuinely happy for fear that once again my gut feeling was right about the person or situation.

Well, that has to stop, and stop it shall in 2013! :D I'm hereby implementing Project Smile365, which is simply a 365 project documenting at least one thing that made me smile for the day. I can't promise to post every day (I do have quite a boring life - I don't think anybody would care to read "Oh look, I poured myself a HUGE glass of ice cold coca cola WHOOTS!" anymore after the 235th time I posted it), but I do hope that at the end of the year, I will have hundreds of smiles recorded to, well, smile at! ;)

I've chosen the pink rose because it signifies perfect happiness (ok fine, it's a camellia but the only picture I had of a pink rose was one that looks half wilted so camellia it is!). It is my sincere wish that 2013 is a year filled with joy and happiness for everyone and myself! :D

You're most welcome to join me either by posting what made you smile today in the comments below or starting your own Project and sending me the link which I'll include in the daily post! Keep smiling everyone and spread the happiness! :D
