Ingredients:

Product Description:

Beautifully glossy hair. For hair that is manageable and glossy right down to the ends.

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:

This shampoo is a little thicker in consistency compared to other shampoos, but it still lathers up nicely:

It rinses out easily after that, but i find that it sometimes leave my hair a little tangled (dry).

This has a fresh scent that i LOVE!!

Packaging:

This shampoo comes in a striking plastic bottle with a flip top cap. I like how the bottle is semi opaque too - i can easily see how much product i have left! :) The dispensing hole is perfectly sized to ensure minimal wastage:

It snaps tightly shut, so it travels well! :)

Price & Availability:
This shampoo is priced at RM15.90 for 220ml. There's a bigger 550ml pump bottle available as well, that goes for RM32.90 per bottle. You can get this locally at most Watsons outlets as well as Jusco! Girls in the US can get this off Amazon at $9.95.

My $0.02:

The moment i took a whiff of this shampoo, it took me back to my childhood days when my dad used to travel for business really frequently. He always brings back a set of the hotel shampoo and body wash for keepsake. I remember having a particular affinity for one such bottle of shampoo my dad brought back from Japan because of its cute egg-shaped bottle. Whenever he's away and I miss him, I always open the bottle and sniff at it, and somehow the scent always comforted me. Weird right? But I was a funny kid growing up! :P

I don't think Tsubaki has been around for that long (I could be wrong though), but that particular hotel must have commissioned Shiseido to fill in those cute little egg-shaped bottles because the scent is EXACTLY the same as this shampoo! So nostalgic for me! :)

Enough blabla, lets go onto my $0.02! This shampoo is not bad for its price - it cleanses and rinses out well, smells nice and is easily available too. I find that this leaves my hair feeling a little dry sometimes, but my hair is quite damaged and its really nothing a good conditioner / hair mask can't fix so I'm ok with that.

Quite a few people reported that this gave them dandruff / an itchy scalp, but thankfully mine agrees with this product! I know the Watsons at Queensbay is giving out samples of this shampoo now - so do drop by if you're keen to get one to try out :)

All in all, methinks that this is quite a good shampoo, and I'll most likely repurchase! :)

MAC Flighty Collection Review + Swatches! :D

This collection features eyeshadows with a creamy, mousse-like texture and a great sheen to them. These require careful application to achieve smooth, even application - instead of swiping it across your eyelids, you'll need to pat them on, so using a brush instead of your finger is recommended. My MA told me that these last really long on the lids (even longer than regular powder shadows), but don't quote me on that because i never put them to the test. These shadows go for US$16.50 / RM70 each.

My Next Indulgence - Forest green w/ blue & gold pearl
Extra Charged - Bright green w/ multi color pearl
Spread the Wealth - Dirty olive w/ gold pearl
The Cool Elite - White w/ silver pearl
Good Fortune - Soft pink yellow w/ pink & silver pearl
Count Your Assets - Rich blue purple w/ multi color pearl
Trophy - Soft peach w/ pearl
Luxury Touch - Violet w/ gold pearl

Free As Air - Sky blue w/ silver pearl
Impeccably Rich - Light cream w/ gold pearl
Up the Ante! - Rich copper w/ gold & silver pearl
Sizzlin’ Diva - Copper w/ gold pearl
Reward Yourself - Bright peach coral w/ gold pearl
Rich, Sweet - Chocolate gold w/ gold pearl
Rich Thrills - Dirty silver w/ multi color pearl
Black Diamond - Black w/ gold pearl

This collection also comes with four Zoom Lash mascaras, which I didn't swatch because it'd be weird to see mascara swatches on skin? lol. This goes for US$14 / RM61 each.

Didcha get anything from this collection? :D

MAC Surf Baby Collection Review + Swatches

This is the annual summer collection from MAC. Can you believe that it has been a year already since To The Beach? I have stuff from that collection that i've yet to use! :O

I wasn't very excited about this collection when i first saw sneak peeks of it online, and that level of enthusiasm remained when i checked it out in person. I'm not a fan of the surfer girl inspired design, and the color selection didn't wow me either. This is just a "meh" collection for me.

Lipsticks (US$15.50 / RM69):

Out of all the lippies, I was most drawn to Hibiscus. It swatches less scarily than it looks in the tube, and sheered out i think it will make an absolutely beautiful lip color! :D Mocha is super pretty as well, but this color is permanent so no hurries in getting it! :D

Naturally Eccentric (Lustre) - Creamy white nude
Mocha (Satin) - Peachy yellow-brown. This is permanent.
Hibiscus (Cremesheen) - Bright orange coral
Bust Out! (Lustre) - Dirty midtone violet

Lipglasses ((US$15.50 / RM69):

All four lipglasses in this collection have medium pigmentation, with the most opaque being Krazy Kahuna. I have Strange Potion from last year's Venomous Villians collection, and it reminded me that i've yet to use it!  :P It's absolutely beautiful, on its own or layered over a similarly colored lipstick!

Girl On Board - Pale white gold
Good Lovin - Soft peachy pink
Strange Potion - Soft coral pink
Krazy Kahuna - Warm midtone brown

Suntints (US$15.50 / RM68):

Lilt of Lily - Soft creamy pale pink
Pink Tinge - Clean bright yellow pink
Full of Grace - Soft sheer rose

Eyeshadows (US$15.50 / RM63):

I was quite surprised by the Satins in this collection. They swatch beautifully and are quite pigmented! :D Out of the 5, Surf USA is the chalkiest of them all.

Short Shorts (Frost) - Frosty white champagne
Sun Blonde (Frost) - Dirty yellow gold
Saffron (Satin) - Deep coral caramel
Surf USA (Frost) - Frosted teal
Swell Baby (Satin) - Mid-tone grey

Crushed Metallic Pigment (US$32.50 / RM135):

These pigments come in a similar packaging as the ones introduced in the Spring Forecast collection last year - 4 plastic containers that screw onto each other. I'm not a fan of the packaging, but I have nothing to fault the pigments themselves for - they're absolutely gorgeous (especially Surf the Ocean) and oh so metallic! :D

Summer Stash

Pearl - Light white pearl
Peachy - Light pink champagne
Pink - Light violet with silver pearl
Old Wine - Brown bronze with gold pearl

Surf the Ocean

Titanium - Frosty platinum
Aquamarine - Light yellow green
Graphite - Dirty graphite with silver pearl
Bronze - Gold bronze

Powerpoint Eye Pencils (US$15.50 / RM65):

Both liners are very pretty and versatile, but i don't think that they're safe to use on the waterline because they contain glitters.

Gilded White - Yellow white frost
Blue Noon - Teal with gold pearl

Skinsheen Bronzing Stick (US$29.50 / RM120):

These are creamy upon application, but they're a PITA to blend! >.<

Tan-Tint - Soft suntan bronze
Billionaire Bronze - Warm golden tan
Gilty Bronze - Coppery bronze with gold

Studio Careblend / Pressed Powder (US$28 / RM115):

I'm truly in LOVE with these powders - super smooth and finely milled and they blend beautifully! My colleagues got me Gold-go-Lightly and I LOVE it to bits (just in case they're reading: I love you guys toooo! Hahaha!!)!! <3

Gold-go-Lightly - Mid tone golden tan brown
Lush-Light Bronze - Mid tone rosy pink brown

Bronzing Powder (US$24 / RM98):

This is the n-th time MAC has put out these two bronzers in their summer collection (here and again here)! >.<

Solar Riche - Midtone deep orange brown.
Refined Golden - Finely spun golden with soft pearl finish

Nail Lacquers (US$15 / RM44):

The nail lacquers go on streaky :(

Hangin’ Loose - Dirty pink nude
Ocean Dip - Midtone creamy aqua

My Paradise Blush (US$28 / RM121):

Last but not the least - the prettiest item of the collection! :D This blush is super pigmented and can be abit too orange for some people, but when used with a light hand it looks absolutely stunning! :D I love how the overspray is of a thicker layer this time too so it'll last through a few uses! :)

Left to right: Overspray, Blush, both together

My Paradise - Peach shade with gold hibiscus overspray.

Thats all for now!! Sorry for the brief review of each items - this post was done in a hurry because this collection has been out for sometime already. Didcha get anything from here? :D

Product Description

Best in quality with sophisticated design created exclusively for you

Pigmentation & Color:

There are four colors available - Dark Brown, Brown, Black and Grey. I bought the Dark Brown and Brown ones. Dark Brown is a dark chocolate brown, and Brown is a medium gold brown. These two are quite pigmented - one swipe is all it takes for the color to show, but the intensity is definitely buildable.

Swatches:

On my brows

I'm using the Dark Brown one in my FOTD here.

Texture & Scent:
This eyebrow pencil goes on a little waxy, but thats the way with most auto brow pencils. It does applies smoothly though.

There's a very faint plastic scent for this product, but i can hardly smell it once on!

Packaging:

This eyebrow pencil is typical of your usual "auto" eyebrow pencils - it comes with a twist-up mechanism on one end, and a brow comb on the other end (which is really fantastic btw!).

The lash comb ends:

You get about an inch of product in each tube:

The packaging it came in:

Time Test:
This one lasts more than 8 hours on my lids, but fades quickly in humid weather!

Price & Availability:
This liner is priced at RM5 and is available at most Daiso stores.

My $0.02:

Alot of people love the old Daiso brow pencil, so when Daiso came to my island, i thought i'd pick one up and try! Unfortunately the old packaging is nowhere to be seen and is probably discontinued already, so i thought i'd just give these a try since they are so cheap!

And you know what? I'm really loving it!! :D The Brown one is a little too light for my skintone, but the Dark Brown one is a perfect match for me! :D

Its twist up mechanism is literally idiot proof! And because its an automatic one, you don't ever have to sharpen it :) And oh, the lash comb is great and so convenient! :D

The only complaint i have is the lack of the ingredient list on the packaging. I would want to know what is the pencil made of.

At RM5 each it's really dirt cheap. I don't think i'll be getting the MAC one anytime soon because i could've gotten 13 of these at that price, but i'll let you know how they compare if I do! :D

Needless to say i'll definitely repurchase! :D
