Product Review: Stage Drama Lash Amplifying Mascara (Waterproof) in 01 Broadway Black

At a Glance:
Price: RM50 (approx. US$16.67)
Website: Stage-cosmetics.com
Weight: 8g / 0.28 Oz
Made in: Italy
Likes: Volumizes and curls well, lengthens lashes a little, effective brush, quick drying formula, waterproof! :D
Gripes: A little clumpy if layered, flakes on me!!
Repurchase: Maybe
Jenn's Rating: 4 Stars! Love the effect but it flakes on me! >.<

Ingredients:

Product Description

Open up to unexpected lengthening and volumizing effects. A unique blend of fibers and waxes thickens every lash for maximum intensity. Formula ensures a non-flaking film for softer, naturally voluminous lashes. Waterproof. Ophthalmologist tested. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

Actual Product Pic:

Color & Pigmentation:
The color is bought is called Broadway Black, which is super black! :D

Texture & Scent:
The formula for this mascara is more fluid than the usual mascaras, so it applies beautifully. It tends to clump though, if you apply more than 1 coat, so a lash comb is a must. I find that this mascara flakes on me too!!

I'm grateful that this mascara does not have a funky scent that irritates my eyes!! :D

Packaging:

Brand new in plastic wrap! :D

This mascara comes in the usual tube with an applicator attached to its cap. The applicator is really unique - one side of it is denser than other and somehow it really works well! :D

Not the best photo but here's how it looks like:

This mascara comes in a box:

Time Test:
This mascara lasts the entire day, but it flakes after awhile.

Price & Availability:
This mascara costs RM50 and is available at all Stage outlets.

Usage:
This mascara is quite versatile! One coat gives me really natural lashes, but you can add another coat for more volume! :D

My $0.02:

My colleague suckered me into buying this mascara because 1. it looks amazing on her and 2. it was on sale at only RM18! :D And guess what? I have her to thank for this because I'm really liking it!! :D

This mascara volumizes and curls my lashes nicely while adding a little length. The formula is so easy to apply too and it lasts all day with zero smudges!

However, I find that this mascara flakes on me after a few hours. Also, it clumps after the first coat, but its nothing a good lash comb cannot fix! :)

Here's a bunch of pics for you to judge for yourself (no lash comb used):

The 3rd coat looks really spidery huh, though i honestly believe that it'll look alot better if you comb them out with a lash comb! :D

In a nutshell, methinks that this is a great mascara to wear for short hours, but beyond that, look elsewhere. I might repurchase if it goes on sale again! :D

Jenn's Rating:  3.5 Stars! Not bad, but i don't like the fragrance! >.<

Ingredients:

Product Description

This mild, all-natural mask sheet is formulated with Lavender and Neroli extracts to comfort skin while indulging the senses in its soothing aroma.

  • Calms body and mind
  • Soothes flushed skin
Aroma therapeutic benefits of Neroli:
  • Relieves tension
  • Delights and nurtures sensitive skin

Directions:

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:
This mask is quite wet, so you're getting your money's worth of essence with this mask! :D The essence takes some effort to sink it, but once it does it doesn't leave a sticky feeling on the skin.

This smells like lavender, which i don't really like.

Packaging:

This mask is individually packed into their respective packs and is sold by the piece. As usual, the mask sheet fits my face well except for the mouth part:

Time Test:
15-20 minutes!

Price & Availability:
This mask is priced at RM6.90 each and is available at all The Face Shop outlets.

My $0.02:

Hello again!! :D Did you all miss Masking Mondays? :D I can't promise that its fully resumed now, but i promise i'll post whenever i can k! :D

This mask moisturizes and brightens my face well, which is great. But on the downside, the essence takes sometime to sink into my skin, so its definitely not something you can plaster on your face and dash out of the door after that!

This is how i look after using this mask:

At RM6.90 each, it's not too bad! Unfortunately i don't really like the scent (it reminds me of floor cleaners! >.<), so i guess i won't be repurchasing!

Spa Experience: Danai Spa, G Hotel Penang

I'm finally done with assignments for this month!! *phew* Was contemplating going back to the quaint little massage place mentioned earlier (i knowwww, i'm so behind reviews its not funny anymore!! Sorry!!!), but when my colleague forwarded me this sweet deal for Danai Spa, i can't help but to snap up a few vouchers for myself! :D

Side rant: whats with the groupon thingies mushrooming like mad on the net! it's making me spend like crazy!!! >.< lol!

I went for the aromatherapy massage with 2 other friends. Though the deal we got is only for 30 minutes, we were given the option of extending the massage to an hour for an extra RM30 (plus tax), which we opted for. Throughout the phone booking process, the receptionist was polite and friendly! :)

The reception area although small, is spacious enough to seat up to 10 people at a go! :)

We were served a warm ginger tea which i kinda like, but my friends found the heat from the ginger a little too much though! lol! :D

After filling up some forms, we were ushered into our respective rooms. The single room was a little small for my liking, but its cozy! :) There's a massage bed, bath and shower in each room for patrons to enjoy in their own privacy.

No pictures after this for obvious reasons, but the folded cloth you see on the bed is actually a sarong for you to cover yourself during the massage. I like how the masseuse is mindful of my modesty and is constantly asking if i'm comfortable or not. Technique wise the massage is a combination of deep, long strokes (Swedish) and the (not so pleasant for me) finger pulling Thai technique. No complaints about that - i felt totally relaxed and the knots in my shoulders smoothened out after the massage.

I have 2 gripes though. We were not provided disposable undies despite this being an oil massage. It's not very pleasant to walk around after that with oily knickers! >.< The other thing (probably my biggest gripe) is that the masseuse did not wash or sanitize her hands before touching my head! I can understand if we were given a foot bath prior to the massage, but that wasn't the case, so it's quite icky imho!

All in all i think it's a great deal at RM50+ for an hour's massage, but to be totally honest I don't think i would have paid the full price (RM150 for 90 mins) for it.

Hello Earth! :D

Excuse me for falling off the face of this planet (lol!), but i have busy (arent we all!)! :P There's so much going on in my personal life now that i could hardly find time to sleep (assignment deadlines are looming ahead and i have been surviving on 3 hour naps everyday! So exhausted)!! As a result of stress, my skin is now the sh!ttiest it has been... pimples popping up everywhere, dehydrated yet oily and full of clogs no thanks to the Biore Mousse sunblock! T_T

Pimples and dehydrated oily skin, yuck! >.<

I shall be back soon... hopefully by June things will be better! In the meanwhile, checkout what my gorgeous blogger friends have written about in April:

Connie of Skin Deco covers her face with an avocado + honey mask. There're 4 pretty looks for the office to ogle at too! :D
Kahani of So Loverly shares with us some travelling tips. She's sooo organized! :O
Nikki of Ask Me Whats did another absolutely adorable tutorial featuring one of my favourite chocolates - M&Ms!
Paris B of My Women Stuff lists down all the cleansing oils that she had tried before! Thats ALOT of cleansing oils! :D
Xin of Pretty Beautiful compares two foot detox plasters. I havent used one in almost 10 years and it made me wanna rush out and grab a box! :D

I'm soooo getting a massage soon!! I've discovered this quaint little place in Penang which offers superb massages at affordable prices - will definitely do a post on this once i have the time to! In the meanwhile, Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful mums out there, and take care! :D
