Product Description

A Pearl Mask Sheet for clearer skin

What is Pearl?

A rare, precious stone rich in calcium which helps illuminate, clarify and hydrate lackluster skin.

The concentrations of Pearl in this gentle mask sheet are effectively absorbed to clarify and refine skin.

Directions:

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:
This mask is quite moist, so you're getting your money's worth with this one! :) After removing the mask, the essence sinks into your skin quickly without leaving a sticky feeling behind, which I love!

This has a light floral fragrance! :)

Packaging:

This mask is individually packed into their respective foil packs and is sold by the piece.

Like the other masks from this brand, the mouth part is ridiculously huge:

Time Test:
15-20 minutes!

Price & Availability:
This mask is priced at RM6.90 each and is available at all The Face Shop outlets.

My $0.02:

Finally, a DECENT one from this range!! :D

After being disappointed by its Hyaluronic Acid and CO-Q10 sisters, naturally i didn't have any lofty expectations for this mask. Afterall, once bitten twice shy!

This manage to surprise me! :D While it could be more moisturizing, this does an okay job at moisturizing my skin. The thing that made it decent for me is its brightening effects:

Though that effect only lasted about half a day or so, i did get a compliment from the husband about how glowy i looked! lol! :D

I may repurchase this one next time, but i'll have to say that it might take sometime for me to revisit this again (will probably only buy this if there's a sale). There are products out there at can do the same thing (and better) at this price! :)

Jenn's Rating: 4.5 Stars! Me really likey! :)

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:

This body lotion is runnier than your usual body lotions, so it spreads easily unto your skin. This sinks in really quickly too with zero sticky feel left behind! :D

This smells flowery with a hint of mango in it. I loved the scent at the beginning, but got sick of it quickly! >.<

Packaging:

This body lotion comes in a plastic bottle with a flip top cap which fastens tightly, so its great for travelling! :)

The dispensing hole is just the right size too:

Price & Availability:
This body lotion is priced at RM9.90 for 120ml. It also comes in 250ml and 400ml bottles, and those go for RM16.90 and RM21.90 respectively. This should be available at most Guardian / Watsons outlets as well as your local supermarkets! :)

My $0.02:

This one caught my eye during my usual rounds in Watsons. I havent seen this around previously, but then it could be just myself not noticing it before! :D Since i was itching for a change from my usual Holy Grail body lotion, i decided to give this a try and see if i like it or not!

And like it i did!! :D It's non-sticky (probably a prerequisite for me lotions now! :D), absorbs into my skin quickly, but most importantly it moisturizes my skin well!

The only thing i didn't like about this one is the scent. I started out really liking it, but i got pretty sick of it quickly! >.< Thankfully the scent dissipates quickly so its still alright.

All in all methinks that this is a great drugstore lotion! Will repurchase for sure! :D

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:

Check out how shiny my newly-cleaned bangles look on the right!! <3

This jewellery cleaner is quite runny, so be careful when you pour it out of the bottle. This foams up a little when you brush / scrub it against your jewellery, but it rinses out quickly and easily.

This has a very strong chemical scent that i don't like! >.<

Packaging:

This comes in a fuss-free plastic bottle. The dispensing hole is huge though, so becareful when you pour the solution out:

Price & Availability:
This product is priced at RM12.50 but it goes on sale often (I got mine for RM9.50 or something). It's available solely at Cosway outlets. Click here to find a stockist near you.

Directions:
Soak jewellery for at least 10 minutes. Longer soaking time and light brushing are required for difficult stains and larger items. I used an old toothbrush to scrub them, but i guess a polishing cloth works too! :)

Another sneak peak - see how shiny they are?? :D :D

Rinse thoroughly under running water and dry with a clean cloth. Solution can be reused. Discard solution when it turns murky.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE on aluminium and porous jewellery like pearls, amber, opals, corals, lapis lazuli and jewellery with water soluble glue or fixings. If in doubt, do a spot test first. Dab the solution onto a hidden area and wait for 5-10 minutes. Keep out reach of children.

My $0.02:

Mums really know best!! I was complaining to my mum that I had no choice but to throw away all my costume jewellery because they've all oxidized and tarnished like crazy when she suggested that I gave this product a whirl and see if it helps remove the darkened stuff on my jewellery or not. I'm sooo glad that I did because it really works!! :D

Talk is cheap so i'll show you pictures to prove it! :D

2 of my necklaces - tarnished and ugly! :(

After soaking and cleaning with this solution:

A side by size cloze up so you can see the difference clearer:

Once I found out that this actually works, i spent several hours cleaning every single jewellery i have, and this worked beautifully for all of them!! Now I have my full range of stuff to accessorize my outfits with again! I'm beyond happy!! Thanks mum for helping me save hundreds of ringgit!! :D :D

Product Review: The Face Shop Cereal Rice Mask Sheet

At a Glance:
Price: RM6.90 (approx. US$2.09)
Website: http://www.thefaceshopen.com/
Weight: 20ml / 0.67 Fl. Oz.
Made in: Korea
Likes: Moisturizes and softens skin well, does brighten skin, essence sinks in quickly! :)
Gripes: Sheet doesn't fit my face well, contains alcohol
Repurchase: No
Jenn's Rating: 3.5 Stars! Not bad!! :D

Ingredients:

Product Description

White Rice extract cleans and softens skin

The Benefits of Rice: Used for ages in Korean home remedies to clarify and brighten skin, Rice effectively cleans and illuminates skin.

Made from all natural pulp for the gentle delivery of Rice extract, this nutrient-rich cereal mask sheet clarifies and softens skin.

Directions:

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:
This is probably the least "wet" one from the Cereal range - it has just the right amount of essence to not drip all over the place, yet remain sufficiently moist throughout the 20 minute treatment period.

This has a light floral scent which i really appreciate. The other ones in this range are notorously strong! :P

My $0.02:

For some reason this mask was OOS for the longest time ever at the branch nearest to me! This definitely piqued my interest in it (more like annoyed because I do have a compulsion to "complete" my mask ranges! :P)!

After using it, i can see why this is the most popular one in the Cereal series! It moisturizes and softens my skin well, and it does brighten my skin as claimed too. Most importantly the fragrance in this product wasn't so overwhelming like the other ones in this range! :D

This is how i look after using this mask:

The only thing i didn't like about this product is the fact that it contains alcohol, and the known larger-than-life mouth piece issue! lol! Won't repurchase because I personally feel that there are better products out there at this price point.
