Product Description

Reflecting the lighthearted luxury of this Champagne-shaded post-holiday collection, a silky, pigment-rich, creamy powder that imparts a natural, fully dimensional glow all over the face. The style note: the powder's crinkled paper emboss design. Consider it vintage M∙A∙C. Limited edition.

Actual Product Pic:

Pigmentation & Color:

This product is proof that the same damn thing can appear very differently on different skin tones! On some, all you get is a nice sheen, but on some, they get this gorgeous sunkissed colors! For yours truly, this appears as a light pink, so i guess it works more as a highlighter for my NW20 skin! This shade is described as a soft pink with gold shimmer on the website, which I would say is accurate! :D

This is how it looks on yours truly (layered over the MAC Joyous Beauty Powder Blush):

As you can see, the powder is hardly visible when layered over another blush, but it does give a lovely glow to an otherwise flat looking blush! :D

Though this powder is not as finely milled as some of their beauty powders, this does blend and apply beautifully! :)

This highlighter comes in a regular MAC flip top pan, but with a special crinkly surface which is super gorgeous!! :D

Time Test:
This highlighter lasts the whole day on my cheeks! :D

Price & Availability:
At US$28 / RM115 a pop i'll have to admit that its abit expensive, but you're getting your money's worth of product (don't think i can ever finish up 10 grams of highlighter! lol!)! This is limited edition and is probably sold out everywhere by now.

I usually layer this over another blush to give it a dimension :)

My $0.02:

While the Cham Pale collection fell a little short for mua personally, their Special Reserve Highlight Powders did saved the day! :D

This highlighter is soft yet pigmented, and it gives just the right amount of glow without being overly glittery. I'm still trying to make it work as a blush though - I tried buffing it in with a kabuki brush but it got quite frosty! :(

Texture wise, this powder is not as finely milled as some of the other powders we've seen from MAC before, but it applies seamlessly nevertheless.

The only thing i didn't like about this one is the price! Ouch! >.<

That being said, I do think that this is a beautiful product, and I will repurchase IF i run out (which probably won't happen in the next 73 years or so)! lol! I'm kicking my own ass now for not getting its gorgeous sister Chez Chez Lame Whooots its coming in the mail! :D But its probably sold out everywhere by now so lemme know if you still want a review on that k :)

MAC Cham Pale Collection Swatches + Review

I know... this collection is soooo yesteryear (and probably taken off the shelves by now)!! Sooo sorry!! My draft + pics went along with my laptop :( I didn't want to post this at first since it's terribly outdated, but decided to go ahead anyway since I already took the pictures and still have them in my camera memory card! I hope some of you do find this useful! :D

This is a typical End Winter / Spring collection - with soft pastels and nudes prominently featured in its color story. Those who know me well can probably tell that this is soooo NOT up my alley, but I do happen to like a few things (which you'll find out later)! :) I do apologize for not having pictures of the Nail Lacquers - I left my brains at home and forgot to swatch them! We did not get the skin care stuff as well :(

Ok lets start with the Chromagraphic , Eye Kohl and Kohl Power Eye Pencils (US$14.50 / RM62 each)! :D

Chromagraphic Pencils in NC15 / NW20 & NW25 / NC30 - These look just like foundation in pencil form, but apparently they can be used as concealer / eyeliner / highlighter! Glad to see that they have found their way here this time (we did not get these pencils with the Prêt-à-Papier collection! :)

Eye Kohl in I Get No Kick - Metallic nude. Can't really see this as an actual eyeliner - methinks that it works better as a highlighter! :)
Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline - Rich black. The ever popular Feline makes its appearance here once again (last seen in the Love Lace collection!)! MAC should make this permanent already!

Caviar Dreams Eyeshadow Quad (US$36 / RM140):

This is the perfect quad for pastel lovers -  the colors are just so soft and feminine! All 4 colors swatch beautifully! :)

Brule (Satin) - Soft creamy beige. This is permanent.
Retrospeck (Lustre) - Beached blonde. This is permanent too! :)
Et tu, Bouquet? (Frost) - Frosted pale pink gold. This is a repromote from A Rose Romance and its still as beautiful as ever! :)
Caviar Dreams (Frost) - Dirty Frosted Pewter. My favourite color of the bunch for obvious reasons! :D

Lipsticks (US$14.50 / RM65):

All lippies are permanent except Quiet, Please which is repromoted from Red She said :)

Tanarama (Frost) - Soft pale golden beige with golden metallic shimmer
Flustered (Frost) - Frosted pale bronze
Quiet, Please (Lustre) - Frosted pink champagne. I don't remember it being this pink though. See my lip swatch here! :)
Gel (Frost) - Sheer metallic beige

Lipgelées (US$14.50 / RM65):

The lipgelées are like glitters on steroids - as you can see they're literally glitterbombs! :D

Sin-tillation - Sparkly pale icy pink.
Luxure - Off-white with pink pearl.
Bubble Lounge - Sparkly pink peach.
Straight to the Head - Sparkly bronze brown.

Paint Pots (US$16.50 / RM70):

All limited edition this time. These work well alone but i think they'll look even better with a matching shadow over them! :D

Dangerous Cuvée - Frosted cool grey
Chilled on Ice - Frosted white gold
Vintage Selection - Frosted dirty peach
Let Me Pop - Frosted light copper

Special Reserve Highlight Powders (US$28 / RM115):

The highlight of the collection!! :D I'm loving the crinkly surface they spot! :)

Chez Chez Lamé - Soft gold with silver shimmer. Kicking myself now for not getting this... T_T
Rosé Ole - Soft pink with gold shimmer. Beautiful in every single way!! I'm loving it!! :D

That's all for now! I have a review of Rose Olé scheduled next week, and Peacocky is next so stay tuned! :)

Product Review: Badger Vanilla Madagascar Lip Balm

At a Glance:
Price: US$3 / £2.45
Weight: 0.15 Oz
Made in: USA
Likes: Super delicious scent, cheap, crazy moisturizing, pairs perfectly with lipstick! :)
Gripes: Not available locally! :(
Repurchase: Yes, but i'd like to try out other flavours first! :D
Jenn's Rating: 5 Stars!! My favourite lip balm to date! <3

Product Description:

Subtle natural flavor and fragrance blends soothe and smooth lips, and they can be used to refresh dry skin anywhere on the body.

They also sport the antioxidant powers of Seabuckthorn Berry and Rose Hip Extracts, as well as an organic Aloe Vera Extract for added dry weather soothing.

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:

This lipbalm feels a little more "solid" than the usual lipbalm, but it slicks on smoothly nevertheless. I like how this doesn't feel waxy or overly oily so it sits perfectly under your lipsticks! :D

This is how it looks on my bare lips:

Ignore the pimple on the right side. My skin is sooo bad nowadays! T_T

This has a wonderful vanilla scent which i'm absolutely addicted too!! <3

This lip balm comes in the usual twist up tube. You get about 1.5 inches of product:

Time Test:
This lasts about 6 hours on my lips before it fades.

Price & Availability:
This lip balm is priced at US$3 each and is available at their website. There are a few distributors selling badger products but do call before going because not all stores carry this lip balm.

This is perfect under lipsticks since it's not oily! :D

My $0.02:

Before i begin, here's a special shout out Dan of! Thanks so much for sending me this balm to try out! :D

Badger is one brand that i've read about but have always just slipped under my radar. So when i was presented with the opportunity to check this one out, i JUMPED at the chance! lol! :D

This lippie balm is everything i ever wanted in a lipbalm, and more! It's not waxy, it actually sinks into your lips rather than just staying on top, its very moisturizing, its perfect under lipsticks and it's cheap! And oh, its the PERFECT vanilla scent - not artificial / cloying / overpowering at all, but just plain PERFECT! :D

Honestly i can't think of anything i don't like about this lip balm, except that its not available locally (where i live anyways). But with the convinience of online shopping, that's hardly a gripe anymore! :D

Itching to get one now? The kind folks at have kindly provided you all with a discount code - enter GLOSSEATER at checkout and get 10% off your order (excluding shipping and sale items)! This code expires 31st March! :D Girls in the UK get free shipping! The rest of the world need not worry as well - shipping is very reasonable! :)

This item is sent to yours truly by for review. Please read my disclaimer for the nitty gritty of product reviews for sponsored products and affiliate programs.

New stuff for the New Year! :D

Hello hello!! :D It's Chinese New Year eve today, and i hope that you've done all your CNY shopping (don't be like me - i only got my mandarin oranges yesterday... and they were somewhat dried up already!! >.< ).

On a positive note, lemme share with you two new things for the new year!! :D

Those of you who're following me on Facebook will know that Daiso aka my favourite RM5 store is finalllllly open in Penang!! Whoots! :D

There're soooo many things for sale in there, and everytime i step in the shop i feel like buying all sorts of nonsense - from a stainless steel soap to a banana holder (yeah, what the heck right!!)! lol! But i've been really good so far! Here's my tiny haul:

An inflatable pillow, 2 auto eyebrow pencil (in brown and dark brown) and a long rectangle storage box! :D

Of all the stuff i've gotten, i'm most excited about the inflatable pillow! I've been looking for one since forever, and i'm glad i've finally found one selling here. So cheap somemore!! :D

Plus, it's pink!! Hehehe!! :D

Whats the 2nd thing you ask? It's my new hair!! Hehehe!! :D It's kinda like my tradition to change my hairstyle once a year. This year, i've decided to revisit my long curly locks i did a few years ago! I'm loving the curls, but hating the color!

What sayeth you?? The color in the pic above is much darker than in real life. It's more like this:

Super light right!!! >.< It makes my already fried hair looks even more fried! And it'll be super ugly when it grows out! T_T Once bitten twice shy, i'm going to SPECIFY the EXACT color i want next time!! >.<

That's all for now!! For those of us who're celebrating Chinese New Year, have a wonderful new year ahead yeah!! Do have a meaningful reunion with your loved ones today too!! Andddd, don't forget to stuff yourself silly with these:

Cookies, fried ngaku, bak kwa and mandarin oranges! The chicken essence is just there to "complete" the picture! Wakakaka!! :D

Hehehehe!! For the rest of you, enjoy the long weekend, and drive safe! :D
