Product Review: Johnson's Baby Softlotion 24 Hour Moisture

^ Sorry, i couldn't find a stock photo of this online! :(

At a Glance:
Price: RM4.90 (approx. US$1.80)
Website: NA
Weight: 100ml
Made in: Malaysia
Likes: Absorbs quickly with no sticky feel, softens skin well, cheap, easily available
Gripes: Could be more moisturizing, not a fan of the scent!
Repurchase: No
Jenn's Rating: 3 Stars!! Just alright for me...

Product Description:

Johnson's® Baby Softlotion™ - Clinically proven 24 hour moisturizing. This non-greasy, fast absorbing lotion is enriched with hydrating emollients and natural lipids that are known to help maintain hydration and prevent moisture loss. The result - skin that feels baby soft all day. It is clinically proven mild and dermatologist tested so it's safe for use on all skin types.

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:

This lotion is quite runny, so it spreads easily unto your skin! :D I love how quickly it absorbs into the skin leaving no sticky feel behind! This softens skin quite well too! This smells kinda flowery (which i personally don't really like), and the scent can get cloying sometimes.

This lotion comes in a plastic bottle with a flip top cap.

The dispensing hole:

Time Test:
This lotion sinks in almost immediately, but i find that i have to reapply after a few hours!

Price & Availability:
This lotion is priced at RM4.90 which i think is pretty affordable! The 200ml version is priced at RM8.90. This lotion should be available at most Guardian / Watsons outlets and your local supermarket! :)

Since this absorbs super quickly, it's perfect to use in the mornings when you're in a hurry! :D

My $0.02:

I bought this one during my Langkawi Trip when my skin for no reason started to itch from the dryness!!

The first time i used it, i immediately realised that i have made a mistake of purchasing this one without sniffing it first. It doesn't smell bad, but the scent is abit too flowery for me! Thankfully the smell disappears quickly!

This one moisturizes just ok - i find that i have to reapply every few hours hence i think the 24 moisturization claim did not really work for me! :( I however, love how quickly it absorbs into the skin without any stickiness! This is perfect for those mornings when you're in a hurry to put on your clothes and dash out of the door! lol!! :P

To sum it up, while i love how affordable and non-sticky this product is, i personally did not like the fragrance and wished that it was more moisturizing. I won't repurchase because of that.

Time Test:
20-30 minutes, which is a little longer than what i'd like!

My $0.02:

This is one of the most raved about My Beauty Diary mask there is out there - and i can see why! It moisturizes and softens the skin well while giving a skin a nice radiance boost!! :D

This is how i look after using this mask:

However, the smell of this one is really bad - it smells just like yeast (ewww). I'll put repurchasing this mask at no as of now because of that. However, i'm really liking the effect, so who knows, i might just repurchase this one when its available! :D

Product Review: LUSH Happy Hippy Shower Gel

At a Glance:
Price: US$9.95 for 3.3 Fl. Oz (RM35.62) /£2.80 for 100g (approx. RM13.60) / Rs. 330 for 100g (approx RM26.93)
Weight: 100g
Made in: England
Likes: Wonderful smell, cleanses well! :D
Gripes: Abit hard to squeeze out from the bottle, not available locally, expensive!!
Repurchase: Whenever i'm feeling generous!
Jenn's Rating: 4.5 Stars!! Me really likey! :D

Product Description:

Happy Hippy smells like revitalizing grapefruit lemonade to give your senses a real ZING in the shower. Fresh pink grapefruit juice, grapefruit water and grapefruit essential oil combine for skin-cleansing action and set off the alarm in your brain that says it's time to wake up. We take the word 'fresh' very seriously and when you see 'fresh pink grapefruit juice' on Happy Hippy's ingredients we mean it! If you stopped by the factory you'd see our staff reaming pounds of grapefruits right into the mix!

Actual Product Pic:

Texture & Scent:

This shower gel is more "solid" than most shower gels, hence its abit hard to squeeze out from the bottle. When rubbed with water, it foams up nicely:

This has a really nice citrusy scent that i love!! There aren't any products that i've came across that smells similar to this one!! :D

This shower gel comes in a rather hard plastic bottle, which is quite annoying considering how hard it is to squeeze out the product! It comes with a with a flip top cap which is super fragile... mine broke in transit:

Price & Availability:
This shower gel is priced at US$9.95 for 3.3 Fl. Oz (RM35.62) /£2.80 for 100g (approx. RM13.60) / Rs. 330 for 100g (approx RM26.93) each, so if you have friends visiting the UK, do buy this from there as it'll be alot cheaper!! :D This should be available at all LUSH stores, as well as on their website! There're 2 bigger options available - US$17.95 / £5.50 / Rs. 610 for 8.4 Fl. Oz / 250g and US$26.95 / £9.60 / Rs. 1150 for 16.9 Fl. Oz / 500g respectively.

My $0.02:

This is the other Christmas pressie i got from the super generous Miss Plue! She knows how reluctant i was to shell out $$$ for this one, so she got it for mua during Christmas!! Thank you sooooo much!! :D

Me loves this one to bit!! From the amazing grapefruit scent (which smells NOTHING like the one from The Body Shop), to how nicely it cleanses, right down to the cute name!! Whats not to love about it?? :D

Unfortunately, a few things! Firstly, its not available in Malaysia (cries)!! 2ndly, the cap breaks super easily as you can see in my pic above! Mine is now replaced with an old cap from a TBS shower gel which thankfully, fits! Finally, it's quite expensive to pay so much for that miniscule amount you get!! :(

Thankfully, the product itself does not disappoint, so i'll repurchase it - when i don't feel so poor! lol!! :D I'm using this one only during trips or whenever i feel like a treat (read: sparingly) to make it last as long as i can!! :D

A super cute sample-ish bottle of the Johnson's Body Lotion! :D

To put how small it is into perspective:

So cute right?? Haha!! These are available for sale at 98 cents each at Guardian! :)

That's enough randomness for now! lol!! Have a great weekend everyone! :D

Product Review: My Lip Stuff Natural Lip Balm in Passionfruit-Orange-Guava

^ Sorry, couldn't find a stock photo for this product :(

At a Glance:
Price: US$2.50 / RM12
Weight: 0.15 Oz
Made in: USA
Likes: Yummy scent, moisturizes and softens well, looks glossy!
Gripes: Gives a funky taste in mouth, not recommended for use before lipstick
Repurchase: Yes, but i'd like to try out other flavours first! :D
Jenn's Rating: 4 Stars!! Me likey! :D

Product Description:

The finest natural butters & oils blended to create the ultimate lip moisturizer for kissably soft lips.

A delicious mix of these 3 fruits!

Actual Product Pic:

Brand spanking new and sealed! :D

Texture & Scent:

This glides on really smoothly, leaving your lips really glossy so its great for those no makeup days:

This does not smell anything like passionfruit, orange nor guava!! But it smells like a delicious mix of fruity sweetness and with just a hint of muskiness! lol!! :D

This however, leaves quite a funky taste in my mouth...

This lip balm comes in the usual twist up tube. You get about 1.5 inches of product:

Time Test:
This lasts about 3-4 hours on me before i feel it fading! :D

Price & Availability:
This lip balm is priced at US$2.50 each and is available at their website. For Malaysian girls, rejoice for now we get to purchase this locally off this blogshop! :D

This is perfect for those no makeup days or over lipstick. I personally use this every night as a lip treatment! :D

My $0.02:

I've heard so much about My Lip Stuff balms but just never gotten around to try them out, so i gotta thank the very kind Cynthia of My Lip Stuff Malaysia who sent me this product to review for the opportunity! :D

The first time i used this balm, i almost wanted to throw it across the room (sorry, Cynthia!!) because it dried out my lips so badly! And i don't even have flaky lips to begin with! However, i decided to give it another go again the following night, and surprise surprise, my lips did not dry out anymore! In fact, i woke up with beautifully plump and super soft lips!

Whatever the twisted reason this happened for i know not, but i do know that i look forward to using this every night and waking up to soft lips! For day use, I personally find that this works better OVER lipstick instead of under it though because of how slippery it is - your lipstick will just slide off your mouth! lol!

The other thing i didnt like about this is that it leaves a kinda weird taste in my mouth. Its not unpleasant, just weird! Thankfully this disappears quickly so i'll bear with it!

All in all, me thinks that this is a wonderful lipbalm that won't break the bank! I can't wait to try out some of the other flavours!! Now should i get Dog Poop or Cat Pee next...?? :D

This item is sent to yours truly by My Lip Stuff Malaysia for an honest review. I am in no way affiliated with them nor do I get compensated monetarily for this post. Kindly transact with them at your own discretion.

Product Review: Thalgo Moisture Quenching Mask

At a Glance:
Price: RM199 (approx. US$55.28)
Weight: 50ml
Made in: France
Likes: Skin feels comfortable after using, nice scent! :D
Gripes: Not very moisturizing, very expensive!!
Repurchase: No
Jenn's Rating: 3 Stars! Just alright for me!

Product Description

This mask is a truly hydrating and relaxing "skin-bath" whereby skin is totally saturated with active moisturizing ingredients. Your skin feels refreshed and regains a supple smoothness with no traces of uncomfortable tightness at all.

Actual Product Pic:

^ This is a sample

Texture & Scent:

This mask is quite creamy, so it spreads nicely unto your skin. The white cream turns transparent once applied:

This smells nice - a very light floral scent! :D

This mask comes in a squeeze tube with a twist off cap. The one pictured here is a sample, but it real thing looks the same, except that its bigger! :D

The dispensing hole:

Time Test:
10-15 minutes!

Price & Availability:
This mask is priced at RM199 each and is available at all Thalgo salons.

My $0.02:

My beautiful colleague kindly loaned this to me to try out! :D

True to its claim, this really soothed my skin, making it feel really comfortable and nice. However, its not very moisturizing - given that its called a "moisture quenching mask", i find this mask quite disappointing in this aspect!

This is how i look after using this mask (as you can see... no visible difference!):

Truth be told i'm really digging how comfortable my skin felt after using this mask. However, for that price, i'm sure that there are better options out there! Maybe this is suited for people with oily skin. I won't be repurchasing because of this!
