Texture & Scent:

This sunblock is rather watery so it spreads nicely on your skin! Because of this, be careful not to tilt your bottle too much when you dispense the product to prevent product wastage! I think they have reformulated this one because this now feels more moisturizing than the previous one i've bought, which is great because i actually find the old one a bit drying! Once on, it absorbs into your skin quickly without leaving any sticky feel behind, and i love that it does not leave a whitish cast or make my face shiny! :D

This is how i look wearing this:

Nice and Matte with no whitish cast!! love!! :D

This doesn't really have a scent to it! :)

Packaging:

This sunblock comes in a little shaker bottle with a twist off cap. Since this product is so watery, i really like how small the dispensing hole is:

And this is how it looks like in the pack! :D

Time Test:
This sunblock lasts the entire afternoon for me if i do not expose myself to strong sunlight / water! I do feel the need to reapply every 2-3 hours if i'm at the beach in the afternoon! :)

Price & Availability:
This lotion is priced at RM32.90 (approx. US$8.89), but it's almost always on sale! This sunblock is found in most Watsons / Guardian outlets! :)

Usage:
I do not recommend using this daily, so i'd reserve it for days when i know i'll be exposed to alot of sun! :D

My $0.02:

Eh, i didn't realise that i never reviewed this little drugstore gem before! :D

I have nothing but praises for this product, more so now since they reformulated it to be more moisturizing! I wore this two saturdays for a charity car wash where there's sun and lots of water, and this protected my face perfectly through the 2 hour ordeal nicely! I did not get darker or sunburnt, but my husband did, so i'm really grateful for this product! lol! :D

All in all this is a wonderful product i know i can count on whenever i need that extra sun protection! I'll definitely repurchase! :D

i never used it on my face before thou

my bf who refused to apply sunblock (he claims its gay -.-), turned so dark that he now no longer refuse applying when we visit paws.

  2. Hey, great review. I have tried this a couple times and I feel like it really clogs my pores. I dunno. Maybe it doesn't sit well with my skin coz I got bumps after using it.

  5. Hi Jenn!! I'm Athena!!! So glad I found your blog!! It's awesome!!! Saves me so much trouble going to counters and trying on stuff... I live in Sydney, sometimes it's hard to know what product suits asian best. You look great in pics!! Hey, one question, have you tried Lancome's Hydra Zen Teint Moisturiser? They have 01 Natural, 02 Sable, 03 Dore and 04 Bronze...I have pretty fair skin but I was told by girls in the counter that dore suits asians. I'm not sure if Dore will be too dark. I'm not using it on my face, just wanna see if i can use it under my eyes to cover up dark circles. i hate concealers, they're too heavy for me. Any recommendations about this? heheh I can so imagine you rushing to the mall this weekend. lol~~

Also !!! omg... I think you just noticed I'm as talkative as you are !!! lol !! You are so lucky that you have baby pink lips!! My lips are dark(a bit blue tint... i think it's because my body temp is colder than most humans), it's so hard for me to find a lippy that works... i want light peach/coral color but none of them come out right... i know i can use lip concealers before i use those lighter shades but i hate the taste of lip concealers !!! any recommendations????

I am so visiting your website everyday.... *waves* hi !!!!

  7. I love all Sunplay sunblocks! This is the one that I would definitely buy when I know I am heading to the beach or where I would be exposed to the sun. Nothing beat this!!!

  8. Athena: hahaha thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you like my blog and find it useful! :D

Well, i personally think you should try it out at the counter since you have access to one! That way you'll be able to tell for sure that the shade will suit you or not! :D Honestly if you ask me i think that tinted moisturizers are abit too sheer to act as concealers. But then again that could work if your dark eye circles arent that bad! So bottomline is, go test it out at your counter! hehehe!! :D

Hmmm... maybe you can check out the MAC Lip Erase! It works kinda like a concealer to make your lips the same colour as your skin so that the lipstick color stands out better. This is only sold at the MAC Pro store, but since you're in Sydney you're in luck! There's one there if im not mistaken right? :D

Alternatively you can try lining your entire lips with a really light lip pencil! But do note that pencils can be a little drying sometimes, so its wise to apply a balm underneath! :D

    HTHs!! :D
