Actual Product Pic:

This is a SAMPLE.

Texture & Scent:

This sunblock is quite fluid, so it spreads unto your skin really well! It sinks in almost immediately and does not leave a sticky feel behind, but it DOES make your skin a little shiny. A dab of powder should solve this problem! :) Like most Lancome products, this one have a lovely perfumy scent, but it's pretty mild.

The tube i have is a sample, but it looks kinda like the real thing, just that the real thing is "flatter" and wider! lol! The tube is pretty straight forward, and it travels well!

Time Test:
True to its 12 hour claim, this sunblock lasts the entire day for me! Excellent stuff!!

Price & Availability:
This sunblock is priced at RM160 (approx. US$44.44), which is rather expensive IMHO. This should be available at most Lancome counters in Asia. It's also available for sale on for US$49.

I use this daily as a facial sunblock. It works as a makeup base too! :)

My $0.02:

I think some of you probably know that i'm pretty anal about protecting my freckles from getting worse! This means using a whitening range, slapping on lots of sunblock and avoiding the sun like plague! lol! So it goes without saying that sunblock is one of my staples that i never go without. The higher the SPF the better!

I've been using the Loreal one for ages and it has served me well! When it ran out, i decided to give this one a try! It's really good!! It protects really well and i love its fluid texture!! The thing that surprised me the most is the lasting power! I tested it out during my langkawi trip where i was under the HOT sun for the entire afternoon:

Wheee... thankfully the suspension bridge did not fall off from my weight after that! XD

While i did get a little darker from that experience, my freckles did not get worse despite being under the blazing hot sun for hours!! I got mildly sunburnt on my shoulders (but i only have myself to blame because i didn't apply sunblock there), but not on my face! It's amazing!!

Ok, enough raving about this product. Lets talk about what i don't like about this one. Firstly, it's true - this one does make your face a little shiny, so those of you who love a matte finish will have to stay away from this one! This is how it looks like freshly applied:

See - it's shiny!! lol!! I usually apply loose powder over it, and that solves the problem! :)

The second and final thing i didn't like about this one is the price!! OMG... RM160 for 30ml is outrageous!! *shakes head*

This product has been compared ALOT to my Holy Grail the Loreal one! And since i have tested both for quite sometime already, here's my humble $0.02 on how they compare to each other!

To be honest, the Loreal one is really very very comparable! The most obvious difference is of course, the price!! I can get 5 tubes (6 even if you manage to get it at the promo price of RM23.90!) of the Loreal one with the price of this! *faints*

Both sunblocks are SPF50 with the PA+++. Texture wise, both are pretty much similar, but this one is slightly less shinier than the Loreal one. But when it comes to lasting power, this one is definitely superior. The Loreal one lasts about 4-6 hours on me before it wears off, and this one easily doubles that time! :)

So conclusion is, both sunblocks are really good! If you're looking for a long wearing sunblock, this is the one for you. Otherwise, the Loreal one is an excellent choice!

I'm really fortunate to acquire quite a few samples of this one from my purchases at the Lancome counter, so it'll probably be awhile before i run out. When that happens, i don't think i'll repurchase... unless i'm feeling particularly generous that day! lol!

Psssst: want a sample of this?? Print this out and bring it to any Lancome counter for a free sample!! Sadly, this is only available for Malaysians though! :(
