Texture & Taste:

There are actually 3 types available in Malaysia:

Transparent Skin - Clear
Porcelein - Tinted
Anti-Dullness - Purple with shimmers

I have only tried the transparent skin one before as i just need a sunblock. As the name implies, this sunblock is quite fluid in texture, so it spreads easily across my face. It's very light and does not feel oily on the face, but it does make my face shiny. No big deal though, i just dust on some loose powder and i'm good to go! :) This sunblock has a slight fragrance that disappears once it's on your face.

Packaging:

This cream comes in a slim travel-friendly squeeze tube with a twist off cap. I especially liked the small tip as i can control how much product i want to dispense! :)

Time Test:
This sunblock lasts about 6 hours before it wears off, which is ok for me.

Price & Availability:
This sunblock goes for RM32.90, which is cheap for what it delivers (psssst, it's almost always on sale anyway so you can get it at an even cheaper price!)! One tube lasts quite sometime for me too, so you're definitely getting your money's worth :) This sunblock is available at all Loreal counters at Watsons / Guardian / Your local supermarket! :)

Usage:
This serves as a moisturizer, sunblock and makeup base for me! :)

In a Nutshell:

My HG sunblock!! I don't leave the house without applying it!

Likes: Moisturizes ok, high sun protection, cheap, easily available
Gripes: It makes your face slightly shiny
Repurchase: Yes!!

Checked out the Cult of Cherry stuff earlier! Wasn't really impressed with the collection but i did manage to bring one lipglass and a blush home with me! :D

The Cherry Blossom lipglass and the Blooming blush!

Not sure if it's only me, but methinks that the model in the COC promo pic bears an uncanny resemblance to...

...MARILYN MANSON!

I also bought a pair of carpet slippers... the cool dry air here gave me horrible painful cracked heels and toes :( i never got those before even though i sleep in an aircon room everyday! :'(

My $0.02:

Pigmentation & Color (Plus Swatches! :D):

There're only 4 colors available where i live - they're:

102 True Rose - a light peachy rose that looks so natural on my NC20-25 skin! In fact, this is the first blush i ever owned! :)

103 Sandalwood Veil - a sweet pale bubblegum pink

114 Fresh Papaya - a shimmery peach with gold reflects

04 Rosewood - a shimmery mid rose

Pigmentation wise they go on sheer, but are definitely buildable. Two swipes is all i need (one for the shimmery ones) to achieve a natural flush!!

Swatches:

The Applicator & Packaging:

The new packaging almost similar to the old one except the new one has this plastic reflective cover which looks more appealing than the old one. Both packaging has a built in mirror, which is great!

I however, prefer the old packaging as the new one is soooo difficult to open!! i had to stick my nail in between the clasp to pry it open! Grrr!

These blushes come with a brush also!

It looks rather scratchy at a glance, but is actually alright to use on the face! it's better than most of the compact blush brush that i've tried before :) however, i still recommend using a fluffy blush for the perfect application :)

Texture & Taste:
There're two textures - the Matt ones which have no shimmers (perfect for the natural look) and the Radiant ones which are shimmery. Both go on smoothly but Fresh Papaya has the best texture IMHO! These blushes have a wonderful orangy scent which fades away after sometime! :)

Time Test:
These blushes last the whole day despite being powder blushes!!

Price & Availability:
This product is priced at RM36.90 / about US$8-$9 each which i personally think is cheap! They are available at most Loreal counters at Watsons / Guardian / Your local supermarket :)

Usage:
These blushes are pretty foolproof! I used to use True Rose on a daily basis for a natural flush. I also use Fresh Papaya as a highlight for my cheekbones! :)

In a Nutshell:

These are excellent drug store blushes that works beautifully without breaking the bank!

Likes: Universally flattering shades, compact and light (perfect for travelling)
Gripes: The bad packaging, limited shades!
Repurchase: I would if i ever run out!

Product Review: The Body Shop Almond Oil Daily Hand & Nail Cream

At a Glance:
Price: RM39.90 / US$16
Website: thebodyshop.com
Weight: 100ml / 3.4 US FL OZ
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Cyclomethicone, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Propylene Glycol, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Dimethicone, Fragrance, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Panthenol, Ceteth-10 Phosphate, Dicetyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Yellow 6.

Product Description

Enjoy lasting softness with a rich, moisturizing hand cream that has panthenol to make nails more flexible and prevent splitting.

Actual Product Pic:

My $0.02:

Texture & Taste:

This handcream spreads beautifully, hence i only need a small amount (slightly smaller than a 5 sen coin) to cover both hands. The cream sinks right into your skin, but be careful not too apply too much product else it can get really goopy and oily! I do not recommend biting your nails or sucking on your fingers after putting this in your mouth because the taste is rather nasty (and believe me the horrible perfumey smell stays in your mouth for eons!)! Scent wise it smells like almond / marzipan which i'm not a fan of, but have gotten used to it.

Packaging:

This cream comes in a flip top squeeze tube, which is excellent cuz it's hygenic and you can easily control the amount you want! :)

Time Test:
My hands felt moisturized for up to 6 hours. I do feel the need to reapply after 3 hand washes or more.

Price & Availability:
At RM39.90 / US$16, methinks that it is rather reasonable. As with most TBS products, the portion you get is generous, so you're getting your money's worth. This is available at all TBS brick & mortar shops, as well as their official website (thebodyshop.com).

Usage:
I apply this twice a day, once after the first time i wash my hands / finish doing the household chores during the day, and one more time before i sleep. I also massage some of it into my rough, peeling cuticles.

In a Nutshell:

An idiotproof hand cream and delivers what it promises! It healed my ugly rough cuticles and restored my really dry hands! :)

Likes: Moisturizes hands effectively, smooths out rough cuticles, excellent packaging, absorbs into skin quickly
Gripes: Problem comes back after you stop using it (but i guess that's the case with most products?)
Repurchase: Yes, but as with all product freaks i want to try out others first before coming back to this!
