Jenn Asks: Are you a Brand Concious person?

Do you mind buying and using so-called "brandless" stuff, or must all the stuff you get at least be a known brand? It doesn't have to be limited to just skincare or makeup! It can be just about anything - clothes, shoes, accesories, even handphone, gadgets and food!

Go ahead and spill the beans girls!! :D

  1. I'd admit brands do matter to me. I get suckered by advertising ALL the time. Too proud to use Tesco Value products, or Makro's Aro products.

However, when it comes to clothes, I'm not arsed. Anything goes. It's all made in China anyway, so who cares about the brand? :p The same goes for accessories. As for shoes, if they're of the latest trends, I don't mind buying on the cheap. Fashion comes and goes, so why spend so much? However, if it's walking shoes, or working shoes which I'd be wearing on a regular basis, then yes, I'd want them from reputable names.

Makeup, I don't mind drugstore brands; in fact, I'm still very much into them. I do like my higher end ones when I have the money for them :) As for gadgets, I research them all and see what's the best out there.

As for skincare products, I'm afraid I'd only stick to the more expensive ones. I mean, you get what you pay for.

    And that's it! :)

  2. When it comes to cosmetics, I do care a bit for brands as clients would check out my make up stash and see what I'm using for them. For clothings, shoes, I wouldn't mind if it's brandless, as long as it looks and fits well :)

  6. Hmmm.. not really. I go by what works. But with that said, doesn't mean I don't have preferred brands. Like MAC for instance. But even then, I only buy what I really really want. =P

  7. usually i like sticking to brands that i've heard good things about or have had good experiences with already. i rarely buy anything beauty-related anymore without reading reviews for it on makeupalley or something, haha.
