Actual Product Pic:

Pigmentation & Color (Plus Swatches! :D):

Benefit Dandelion is famous for its universally flattering perky pink color! Many people including celebrities swear by this pinky powder! This powder goes on sheer, but is somewhat buildable. It takes 2 swipes to show up on my NC20 skin :)

Swatches:

And if you're wondering how different this is from the other Benefit powders, here's a comparison:

Packaging:

This powder comes in a cute little box complete with a brush and a plastic tray! I know alot of people complain about the box, but i like it (partly because i don't travel with this blush as well, so i don't have problems with it's bulkiness)! haha! :D

The brush that comes with this powder is quite scratchy, so i do not recommend using this!! Use a big fluffy brush instead! :)

Texture & Scent:
This powder is not very finely milled (a little better than Georgia), but a little buffing with a kabuki brush would solve the problem. It has a pleasant scent from what i can remember, but has long disappeared! :)

Time Test:
Like Georgia, this powder doesn't last very long, approx. 4 hours.

Price & Availability:
This product is priced at RM129 / US$28, which is a little more expensive than your regular blushes, although you get quite alot of product in a box. It's available at all Benefit counters and on Benefitcosmetics.com.

Usage:
I use this as a blush as it does show up on my cheeks. It looks really natural!! :D

Possible Dupes:
Most Malaysian babes would be happy to hear this!! The almost-identical dupe for Dandelion is... *drum rolls*

The Silkygirl Blush in 02 Dune Rose!! :D Are you surprised? :D

Swatches:

As you can see, they look ALMOST identical with Dandelion being very very slightly lighter! :)

My $0.02:
I have to admit that I wasn't thrilled when i received this powder! I was rather tanned at that time and i thought it didn't show up on my cheeks. It was until i received many compliments when i wore it to a wedding dinner that i realised that it DOES compliment my cheeks beautifully! :) This is one of my fool-proof blushes that i can just apply in a hurry and know that it'll work perfectly fine! And oh, i love that little box! hehehe! :) The only gripe i have besides the lousy brush, is that it doesn't lasts as long as i would have wanted it to, hence i seldom use this blush nowadays!

In a Nutshell:

A universally flattering color that works all the time for me!

Likes: Perfect highlighter, lovely packaging, universally flattering shade
Gripes: The lousy brush, Doesn't last long!
Repurchase: Yes, if i ever run out!

Rating:
4 Stars ! Would have been perfect if it could last the whole day! :)

  1. i can't find myself a good reason to buy this blusher. or any powder blusher from this line. no matter how nice it is.

brush is horrible. lasting power is bad. and it's expensive.

i rather get myself something else!

though georgia is a beautiful colour... BUT... NO! can't buy this :P Not worth the money LOL

but dune rose maybe... since i have honeywood and nectar flush :P

  2. I quite like this blush, but I do agree with you - the staying power's pretty dimmed. Brush is rubbish :P Oooh I have to check out the one by Silkygirl. It really does look like the Dandelion in your pictures. And a LOT cheaper too :)

  4. tine, thanks for dropping by my site! :) Yes!! They look awfully similar, and Silkygirl is like, 7 times cheaper than Dandelion? The silkygirl one beats Dandelion in terms of their staying power by a mile too!! :)
